Which setup fits your home?

We install ducted, ductless mini-split and hybrid heat-pump systems. Your home assessment decides which one fits.

Three ways to set up a heat pump

  • Ducted heat pumpUses your home’s ductwork to distribute heating and cooling. We review the ducts and equipment connections before recommending a setup.
  • Ductless mini-splitUses indoor units to serve selected rooms or zones. A useful option where existing ducts do not suit the space; one or several zones can be assessed.
  • Hybrid heat pump and furnacePairs a compatible heat pump with a gas furnace. We explain how the controls and heating changeover will work for the proposed system.

Cold-climate capability depends on the selected model and matched system. We review your home’s heating needs and backup plan before recommending equipment. NRCan sizing guidance

What your quote covers

Your written quote lists the work in four parts.

  • Equipment: Outdoor and indoor equipment, model numbers and the proposed heating setup.

  • Installation work: Connections, mounting, agreed removal and any duct, electrical or other upgrades.

  • Controls and testing: Thermostat/controls, backup-heating arrangement and installation checks.

  • Price and support: Taxes, exclusions, timing, separate warranty terms and any separately verified rebate eligibility.

What will installation cost?

System type, selected equipment, indoor zones and the work your home needs affect the price. Use the calculator for a published planning range, then request a quote for your actual installation.

A hybrid setup needs an assessed quote; the calculator does not price a complete furnace-plus-heat-pump package.

Frequently asked questions

Will a heat pump work through winter?

Cold-climate models are designed for colder conditions. Suitability depends on the model, your home’s heating needs and the backup arrangement. The assessment identifies the proposed system rather than promising one temperature limit for every product.

Can I keep my gas furnace?

A hybrid system may use a compatible existing furnace. Its condition, compatibility and controls need to be reviewed before it can be included in the quote.

Do I need ductwork?

A ducted setup uses ducts; a ductless mini-split serves rooms through indoor units. We assess which arrangement fits the home and the spaces you want to heat and cool.

Will I need an electrical-panel upgrade?

It depends on the equipment and your existing electrical capacity. Any required work is identified during assessment and addressed in the installation quote.

Will a heat pump lower my bills?

Operating cost depends on the system, your home's needs, energy prices and how the equipment is used. We can compare options; a fixed saving is not guaranteed.

Which brand is best for my home?

Compare suitable models, installed scope, heating performance, controls, available support and warranty terms. A brand label alone does not decide the best fit.

Can I get a rebate?

Check the current official program rules. Eligibility is not automatic, and the program requires a participating contractor and approval before installation.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the setup and any additional work. The agreed scope and installation timing are confirmed before you proceed.
